Aventa Genomics, LLC. (“Aventa” or “We”) values your privacy and the privacy of our other customers and visitors to our Websites, located at www.aventagenomics.com (collectively, with any successor websites, the “Websites”). Visitors to the Websites are, collectively, referred to herein as “Users.”
This Privacy Notice describes what information Aventa gathers from you via the Websites, how we use that information, and what we do to protect it. By using the Websites, you expressly consent to the information handling practices described in this notice.
This Privacy Notice is incorporated into and is subject to the Aventa Terms of Use. Your use of the Websites and any personal information you provide on the Websites are subject to the terms of this Privacy Notice and Aventa’s Terms of Use.
In the Information Aventa Collects
“Personally Identifiable Information” means information that allows someone to identify or contact you, including, for example, your name, address, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, as well as any other non-public information about you that is associated with or linked to any of the foregoing information. “Anonymous Information” means Information that is not associated with or linked to your Personal Information; Anonymous Information does not, by itself, permit the identification of individual persons. We collect Personal Information and Anonymous Information, as described below.
- User-provided Information: You may provide to Aventa Personally Identifiable Information when using the Websites. For example, if you register to join our mailing list, we will ask for information such as your name, organization, telephone number, and e-mail address so that we can send you the requested communications. You may also provide Personally Identifiable Information if you contact us through the Websites with questions or comments.
- Employment Information: You may provide us with Personally Identifiable Information, such as that contained on a resume or a curriculum vitae, in connection with a job application or inquiry. We may use this information throughout Aventa for the purpose of employment consideration or your inquiry. We may keep your information on file for future consideration.
- “Cookies” Information: When you visit the Websites, we may send one or more cookies – small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters – to your computer. Aventa may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A session cookie disappears after you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the Websites. Persistent cookies can be removed. Please review your web browser “Help” file to learn the proper way to modify your cookie settings.
- “Automatically Collected” Information: When you visit the Websites, we may automatically record certain information from your web browser by using different types of technology, including “clear gifs” or “web beacons.” This “automatically collected” information may include Internet Protocol address (“IP Address”), web browser type, the web pages or sites that you visit just before or just after the Websites, the pages you view on the Websites, and the dates and times that you visit the Websites.
- Log Files: As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes IP addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (“ISP”), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information to analyze trends, administer the Websites, track users’ movements around the Websites, gather demographic information about our user base as a whole, and better tailor our services to our users’ needs. For example, some of the information may be collected so that when you visit the Websites or the services again, it will recognize you and the information could then be used to serve advertisements and other information appropriate to your interests. Except as noted in this Privacy Policy, we do not link this automatically-collected data to Personally Identifiable Information.
- Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to help analyze how users use the Website. Google Analytics uses Cookies to collect information such as how often users visit the Site, what pages they visit, and what other sites they used prior to coming to the Site. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve our Websites and services. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit the Websites, rather than your name or other personally identifying information. We do not combine the information generated through the use of Google Analytics with your Personally Identifiable Information. Although Google Analytics plants a persistent Cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit the Websites, the Cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to the Websites is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy.
